SIGMA 2.0 // NOV '23

Since our "closed beta" last year, we have gained invaluable experience, product knowledge, and relationships with all of you. Your time, feedback, and trust have been tremendous and we are excited to continue improving our artistry and delivering exceptional quality that goes beyond your expectations. As we enter our next phase and make our full services public, we have made some modifications to our service packages, service delivery, and the products used.

GENERAL

  • Expanded service area to include GTHA
    We have observed several people from Hamilton region who have expressed interest for our services but were uncertain if they were included as part of our GTA coverage. Our goal is to reach as many communities as possible and with the wider adoption of “GTHA” as compared to “GTA” to refer to our collective municipalities, we are following suit to improve clarity for our clients. We hope this change continues to encourage more people from these respective regions to reach out to us.

  • FAQ section now renamed “S.TIER”
    We always envisioned our brand and craftsmanship to differentiate from the typical detailer and thoroughly enjoy the education aspect when meeting our clients and fellow enthusiasts. Our FAQ section has been built this way to provide information and resources that go beyond just the commonly asked questions and answers, but this was not clear without taking a deep dive when exploring this page. With this in mind, our FAQ-like section will now be known as “S.TIER” or “SIGMA Technical Information and Education Resources”. S.TIER will continue to provide information regarding FAQs pertaining to our company and services but will also contain an extensive library of updated education resources for everyone to learn more about detailing, the equipment and products used, and best practices/techniques.

  • Updated featured brands to reflect current offerings
    Our products are constantly changing as the industry evolves and we are always looking for the best innovations that can provide more value to you as a customer. SIGMA is proud to announce the inclusion of products from Soft99, Gyeon, 303, MJJC, and the Detail Factory amongst our other quality brands on offer.

SERVICES

  • Complete overhaul of vehicle packages
    We have gained incredible insight over the last few months since our initial launch and take public reception and client feedback to heart. Our intrinsic desire to always improve and become the best detailer throughout the GTHA inspires us to continue building our brand with the help of the communities we serve, and we are excited to showcase the next iteration of our service offerings.
    Exterior:
    - Wheel coatings now listed in all services (unlisted previously)  
    - Exhaust tip polishing added to [β] BETA, [α] ALPHA, [Σ] SIGMA (unlisted but included in all services previously; now exclusive to reduce service time and costs during maintenance services)
    - Water spot removal added to [Σ] SIGMA (chemical removal reduces excessive polishing steps for both paint and glass, improving service time and better preserving clear coat and glass surfaces)
    Interior:
    - Vortex extraction added as primary interior service for [β] BETA ; also included in [α] ALPHA and [Σ] SIGMA (previously used for headliners only but achieves similar effect to carpet extraction and steam for most vehicles surface wear; reduces time, cost, and moisture wicking for [β] BETA service)
    - Carpet extraction now exclusive to [α] ALPHA and [Σ] SIGMA (more suitable for bi-annual/annual service)
    - Steam cleaning now exclusive to [Σ] SIGMA (more suitable for annual service or as needed)
    - Fabric guard added to [α] ALPHA and [Σ] SIGMA (improved bonding post carpet extraction; protection up to 6 months)
    - Leather conditioning added to [Σ] SIGMA (improved treatment post steam cleaning; conditioning recommended annually)
    - Interior ceramic added to [Σ] SIGMA (improved bonding post steam cleaning; protection up to 1 year)
    Paint Correction:
    - Quote/spot testing available (can be requested from your detailer at time of assessment)
    - Polish/compound fees standardized to hourly rate (allows customers to determine degree of correction [75%, 85%, 95%] based on time and expense)
    Paint Protection:
    - [δ] DELTA now features ceramic sealant (improved durability/longevity over silica sealant; 4-6 months)
    - [β] BETA now features ceramic/graphene sealant (improved longevity over ceramic alone; 6-8 months)
    - [Σ] SIGMA now features fluoropolymer hand wax (improved durability/longevity over ceramic/graphene hybrid wax and can be topped with other sealants offered; true 12 months)

  • Exterior and interior only packages added
    With our overhaul for our complete vehicle packages, we have decided to create sub-tiers for their respective exterior and interior offerings which will be denoted by the package name followed by a corresponding extension (ex. [Σ] SIGMA.EXT or [Σ] SIGMA.INT). By offering exterior and interior only packages, we can offer competitive and cost-effective solutions that will encourage more clients to explore our service offerings across the board and crossmatch these services in accordance with their desired needs. For each package tier, the “what’s included” sections have been separated and categorized into exterior and interior, displaying dedicated price and time estimates for each. When booking, you now have the option to choose custom packages which will give you the option to select exterior only and/or interior only variants. This flexibility has been a common request from clients and we hope these changes serves you better.

 

PRODUCTS

  • Rinseless wash
    Featured in our [ζ] ZETA / [δ] DELTA packages, our rinseless wash solution now comprises of a polymer/surfactant hybrid containing C10-16 Alcohol Ethoxylates and Butyoxethanol capable of a deeper clean while continuing to be biodegradable, marine safe, and minimizes water use. We anticipate improved performance as a maintenance product and in the removal of road salts during winter services.

  • Graphene trim coating
    Previous iterations of our premium trim coatings were acrylic based which were observed to by highly temperature sensitive causing rapid flashing and uneven application in the summer months. Our new graphene trim coating can now be safely applied in direct sunlight and on a variety of paints/rubbers/plastics without concerns of streaking while extending durability up to 1 year.

  • Ceramic tire dressing
    Similar to our trim coatings, the premium tire dressing we offered contained acrylic graphene which presented application challenges in hot weather. We have opted to switch to a ceramic based dressing that maintains the same water repellency and OEM finish, but with improved self-levelling properties and chemical resistance.

  • Ceramic/Graphene wheel coatings and paint protectants
    Across most of our packages, we previously used silica for our wheel coatings. Silica was also a staple paint protectant featured in our [δ] DELTA package that lasted up to 3 months. We have switched these offerings for a new product line that contains ceramic/graphene that boasts the same ease of application but with an extended life expectancy of up to 6-8 months. Clients can expect better hydrophobic properties with this new composition as well as improved heat dissipation on exterior surfaces.

  • Fusso wax coating
    Recent innovations have seen the return of fluorine-based coatings that were commonly used for skis/snowboards before being banned in recent alpine events for their environmental and health safety concerns. Known for their exceptional self-cleaning ability and hydrophobic properties compared to hydrocarbons such as ceramic and graphene, we have adopted a professional Japanese fluoropolymer that has been globally approved while truly meeting its claimed 12-month durability. Although we were happy with the ease of use and pleasant experience using our previous ceramic/graphene wax, we were concerned with the inconsistency of wear overtime and wanted a wax that met our standards in providing value to our clients.
